Barbara Ann Tosch

Barbara Ann Tosch “Mother Red” was born June 21, 1936. She peacefully passed away April 24, 2025 surrounded by family. She possessed a unique personality and an extraordinary presence. From Hollywood to Waco to Laguna Park, she was notably a legend.

She was predeceased by her mother, Oleane Marion, and father, Walter Marion. Her brothers Sonny, Gene, Duane, Rush, and Donny Marion. As well as her sons Randy and Kelly Voss. She left behind son Kenneth Voss and daughter Kim Smith. Her sister-in-law Bonnie Marion. She had 10 grandchildren, Kimberly, Brent, Kyle, Courtney, Lacey, Chase, Ty, Savannah, Jaye and Roman and 21 great-grandchildren.

She ran “Mother Red’s” night club in the 70’s and 80’s where she paired up hundreds of lonely strangers. She finished out her career at The Room Store where she retired. She loved singing, telling jokes, spending time with family, and watching Lifetime and Hallmark movies. Her life stories and encounters were truly remarkable, and she will be missed dearly by a great many family and friends. As she always said at the end of the day, “Mother Loves Ya!” Visitation (open to anyone) will be at Bellmead Funeral Home on Wednesday April 30th from 12-4:30pm. Family will be present from 2:30-4:30pm. Graveside will be held at Mesquite Cemetery in Mt Calm, TX on Thursday May 1st at 10am.
