Brian Keith Hopkins

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Brian Keith Hopkins, who left us on July 17, 2025 at the age of 62.

Brian was born on August 9, 1962 in Waco, Texas. Brian lived a life full of energy, generosity, and a passion for speed. Brian was known for his love of racing cars—whether on the track or under the hood, he found joy in the roar of an engine and the challenge of the race. His enthusiasm for motorsports was matched only by his kindness and willingness to lend a hand.

Around the neighborhood, Brian was the one who people turned to when they needed help whether it was fixing something, offering advice, or simply being there. A devoted father, loyal friend, and generous neighbor, Brian will be remembered for his big heart, his unmistakable laugh, and the way he made people feel welcome and seen. His presence was a gift to all who knew him. 

Brian was preceded in death by his loving grandparents, JD and Flora Hopkins and parents, Kenny and Melanie Arnold. 

He is survived by his son Ryan and wife Jennifer; his grandchildren; Germayn, Kaylee and Brooklyn; numerous cousins; his race track family and a wide circle of friends and neighbors who will miss him dearly.

A Memorial Visitation service will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at 5:30 PM at Bellmead Funeral Home Chapel followed by a Memorial Service at 6:00 PM.
