Bruce Edwin Anderson

August 20, 1954 — September 28, 2025

Bruce "B.A." Anderson, 71, of Axtell, Texas, passed away on September 28, 2025. Born on August 20, 1954, in Waco, Texas, Bruce lived a life full of adventure, laughter, and deep-rooted family connections.

A beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and close friend to many, Bruce was known for his vibrant spirit and the joy he brought to those around him. He had a passion for the open road and was always up for a ride on his Harley with family and friends by his side. His love for motorcycles was matched only by his talent in the kitchen—especially when it came to making his famous Big Red ice cream that became a staple at every family gathering.

In earlier years, Bruce found excitement behind the wheel as a racer at Heart of Texas Speedway and Bellmead Speedway. His competitive spirit and love for speed were well-known among fellow racers and fans alike.

Family meant everything to Bruce. He cherished every moment spent with them—especially the surprise visits from his granddaughter Skylar that often ended with dinner and margaritas. These moments were treasured highlights in his later years. Whether gathered around a table or sitting outside under the Texas sky, Bruce loved swapping stories with friends and reminiscing about their youthful adventures.

Bruce is survived by his devoted wife Lucy; daughter Haley and her husband Aaron; son Cardinal and his wife Frances; step-daughter Amber; sister Janie Allen; brother Harold Anderson and sister-in-law Sandy Anderson; grandchildren Skylar and Kaleb; step-grandchildren Kyla, Gianna, Noah, and Jonah; great-granddaughter Berkley Sue; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews who all held a special place in his heart.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Brucendia; parents Dick and Edna Anderson; and brother Gary Anderson.

Bruce passed at his home in Axtell, Texas. His memory will live on through the stories shared by those who knew him best—the laughter around campfires, the roar of engines on back roads, the sweetness of Big Red ice cream on hot summer days. May those memories bring comfort to all who loved him.
