Connie Jean Gordon

Connie Jean Gordon, 72, of Ross, Texas, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2026.

Memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Bellmead Funeral Home Chapel. 

Connie was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, James Michael Gordon of Ross; her mother, Glenda McGee; and her father, Walter McGee of Bellmead. 

She is survived by her two sons, Michael Wayne Gordon of Ross and Christopher James Gordon of Bellmead. She also leaves behind five grandchildren: Kinsee Carlton and her husband, Tylan Carlton; Courtney Hannemann and her fiancé, Johnathan Flores; Kimbree Gordon; Lindsey Gordon; and Gracie Gordon. Connie was a proud great-grandmother to five great grandchildren: Cadynce, Bryston, and Easton Inman, and Drew and Brecker Carlton. Known as “Mimi,” Connie was a devoted grandmother and beloved great-grandmother whose greatest joy in life was her family. Being Mimi was her proudest role, and she cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

 Connie retired from service with the City of Waco and the State of Texas. A lifelong horse lover, Connie found peace and happiness outdoors, spending time with her family and caring for her animals. Her faithful dog, Lady, was her best friend and constant companion.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Michael Loden for his ongoing care and concern, and to the compassionate nurses of Harbor Hospice for the exceptional comfort and kindness they provided during Connie’s final days.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
