In Loving Memory of Deborah Kay Foreman Oswald

Deborah Kay Foreman Oswald, 76, of Bellmead, Texas, went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 12, 2026, passing away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on September 6, 1950, in Waco, Texas, to Arnold and Acineth Foreman, Deborah lived a life defined by vibrant energy, a love for the outdoors, and an unwavering and steadfast devotion to her family and friends.

For 32 years, she shared her life with her beloved husband, Steve Oswald. Deborah lived a life guided by enthusiasm and a rich variety of interests; she spent many happy years working in the food industry, primarily as a baker; but her true spirit lived outside. Whether she was out on the water kayaking, immersing herself in Civil War reenactments for a decade, sewing, or baking something delicious for the people she loved, she approached every pursuit with joy. She could often be found sharing a wonderful meal and good conversation with friends at her favorite spot, El Conquistador in Bellmead.

She is survived by her loving husband, Steve Oswald; her children, Charles Dean Stansell and wife Susan of Montgomery, Tommy Dan Stansell and wife Sherri of Temple, and Dr. Laura Ann McBride and Mr. Rod Patten of Wise County; her stepsons, Josh and Jacob Oswald; and step-grandchildren Maverik, Jayden, and Rhett Oswald.

Deborah also held a deeply cherished place in her heart for Brendon Rhodes and wife Micah of West, and Dalton Smith of West, along with Brendon and Micah’s two-year-old son, Ollie, whom she loved as dearly as her own grandchildren. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Acineth Foreman; her grandparents, Jack and Myrtle Faye Bruton of Gholson; her siblings, Sue Barker of Gholson, Jeanie (Bumper) Devaney of Waco, and Richard Foreman of Tallulah.

Deborah’s circle of cherished loved ones also includes her cousin Chuck Foreman of West, Karen Hix and husband Jeff of Aquilla, Ernest Wilson of Aquilla, Whonda Foreman of Tallulah, and Bob and Ranell Gray of Bellmead.

The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to Community Healthcare of Texas and her incredible hospice team, especially her nurse, Leah, and Dr. Wesley, whose exceptional care, compassion, and support brought immense comfort to Deborah and her loved ones during her final days.

Her home and her heart were places of warmth, comfort, and good food. She made the world a brighter, more adventurous place for everyone who knew her, and her faith and strength carried her through to her final rest.
