John Alton Simon

On September 18th at 8:08 PM, John A. Simon passed at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center Hillcrest in Waco Tx.

He was 82 years old.

John was the second and the youngest son born in Abbeville LA on Jan 15th, 1944, to Audry LaBlanc and Alton Simon.

He was a welder for most of his life but did serve in the army and as a mechanic.

As a young man, he spent much of his time hunting (everything) and fishing, but his passion, favorite hobby and favorite pastime was fishing.

His Brother Lawrence Jerry Simon passed before him in 2022.

He is survived by his Wife Gladis Simon and his two sons Alton J. Simon and John L. Simon.

There will be no formal service and only a trip to execute his final wishes, which was to spread his ashes over the Vermilion Bayou where he spent much of his childhood and had such fond memories.
