Juanita Miller

May 17, 1951 — Jul 9, 2026

Juanita "Janie" Miller went peacefully on June 9, 2026, surrounded by her five children.

Juanita was born on May 17, 1951 in Waco, Texas. She attended University High School and Texas State Technical College where she earned her associate's degree as a dental assistant. However, her love of children led her to have a successful career as an educator working with preschool aged children and special needs children in different capacities throughout her life. When she was not working, she spent her time with her grandchildren bringing to life their imagination with stories, projects, and whatever else their little minds could create. After retirement, she spent her time traveling from one of her children to the next so she could spend time with her grandchildren. She loved her children more than anything and made sure to tell them daily how much they meant to her. She would end phone calls or visits with "Don't let anyone take your sunshine away" Her absence on this earth will be felt.

She is preceded in death by a child lost in childbirth; both parents, Santiago Moreno and Molly Moreno; uncles, Alfred Moreno and Bobby Moreno; siblings, Hortencia Mendieta and Robert Moreno.

She is survived by her five children, Delores Branham, Dionicio Ordonez III, Rachel Ordonez, Diana Mead, Molly Culverhouse and husband, Jeff Culverhouse; grandchildren, Hope Branham, Amy Centeno, Cindy Uribe, Mindy Mateo, Jordan Ordonez, Alicia Ordonez, Jacob Ordonez, Kristan Galindo, Ray Hernandez, Tristan Dillard, Xavier Mead, Kyla Mead, Nicolas Culverhouse and Nathan Culverhouse. She is also survived by many great grandchildren as well as other family members.

A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 13, 2026 at Bellmead Funeral Home.
There will be no graveside services as Juanita wanted to be cremated.
