Karen Solomon

Karen Louise Solomon passed away on Tuesday, June 3, 2025.

She was born on July 17, 1962, in Palestine, Texas, to Jimmy Bassett and Mary Jo Reynolds. On July 3, 1982, she married her high school sweetheart, Michael Solomon, in Waco, Texas. They built their life together-first in Houston, Texas, and later in Big Spring, Texas, where they eventually retired.

Karen will be deeply missed by her devoted husband of nearly 43 years, Michael Solomon of Big Spring; her daughter, Brandy Bazmore and husband Mark of Crosby, Texas; and her beloved grandchildren, Sean, Nathan, and Lauren Bazmore.

She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Bessie Solomon; step mother-in-law, Bobbye Solomon; her brother, Eddie Bassett; sisters-in-law Kim Bassett and Cindy Martin; brother-in-law Earnie Solomon and wife Nancy; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and other loving relatives.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Bobby Bassett.

We will always remember Karen working hard outside with her husband and her dogs by her side, and for the love she had for her family.

In keeping with her wishes, the family will celebrate her life privately.
