Louis Francis Murphy

Louis Francis Murphy, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on August 30, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Louis was born on August 19, 1939, in Paterson, New Jersey, to Wesley and Mary Murphy. Throughout his life, family was at the center of who he was. He leaves behind a family that will forever carry his stories, his love, and the memories created over a lifetime together.

Louis is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Murphy, and his children Lorrie, Louis, Scott, Anne, Laura, Charles, and Vincent. He is also survived by his close family members Mike, Toney, Neives, Martha, and Kim, as well as his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who lovingly knew him as “Pop.”

To his children, he was Dad—the person whose presence helped shape their lives. To his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, he was Pop, a name that came with its own collection of memories, stories, laughter, and love. And to Nancy, he was a husband and partner with whom a lifetime was shared.

The true measure of Louis’s life can be found in the family he leaves behind. His legacy lives on through his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and in the traditions, stories, lessons, and pieces of him they will continue to carry forward.

While his family will deeply miss his presence, they are grateful for the years they were given with him and for a lifetime of memories that will remain with them always.

In accordance with Louis’s wishes, there will be no viewing or funeral service. The family asks that those who knew and loved him honor his memory in their own way and hold close the memories they shared with him.

Louis will be deeply missed and forever loved.
