Marilyn Wilkerson

Marilyn Mae Wilkerson,88, of Waco, TX died May 28th of 2025 after a long battle of multiple health issues.

She was born in South Bend, IN in 1937. She was the baby of the family with one brother and two sisters. Her mother died when she was 19 years old. Marilyn worked at Western Union in Chicago while caring for her father. Her father and her moved to TX in the beginning of 1966. That's where she met the love of her life, Thomas R Wilkerson. Marilyn was one of a kind, even though Thomas had two children, she welcomed them with a loving heart. They were married in June of 1966. In their 58 years together they had three children and met another child that neither knew about for years. Marilyn worked various jobs like secretary, vacation bible school teacher, Sunday school teacher, childcare worker, fast food worker, and caregiver. But her favorite job was always being a mother and wife then later a grandmother, great grandmother, and even great great grandmother also Aunt Marilyn. She will be greatly missed by her family that adore her with all their hearts.

We know that we can't have you but were happy knowing that the angels have finally got you back. Goodbye to a wonderful woman and a beautiful mother.

Preceded in death by her parents Charles and Vivian, brother Merritt, sisters Mabel and Martha, and grandson Christopher Michael.

Marilyn is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Robert, her six children Ben, Bob, Debra, Susan, Jerry, and Darrell, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many more.

There will be visitation at the Bellmead Funeral Home on Sunday, June 1st of 2025 from 6pm to 8pm. There will also be a service at the same location on Monday, June 2nd of 2025 at 1pm. Following the service we will be gathering at the Waco Memorial Cemetery for burial.
