Mary Rose Bennett

Mary Rose Bennett, age 87, of Waco, TX passed away suddenly after having a major surgery on May 21st, 2026. She was born on March 24th, 1939 in Waco, TX to Willie Wayne Hale and Mary Christine Swayers. She graduated from Lavega High School.

Mary Rose will be remembered for her compassion, high spirit, and devotion to her loving husband and family. She grew up surrounded by her close family and friends sharing stories and photos told at the table and on the front porch with a cup of coffee.

Mary Rose built life around her family and the love of nature. She enjoyed spending time outside with her flowers and butterfly garden. She believed in a well made meal that brought the family together. She always wanted connection with those around her. She built a life centered on hard work, perseverance and a deep love for her family and friends.

She leaves behind a devoted loving husband Lewis Franklin Bennett, son Lewis Wayne Bennett, daughter Donna Kim Bennett and grandchildren Cory Bennett Palmer and Lauren Danielle Palmer.

Her legacy of kindness and compassion will continue in the lives of all she touched.
