Shad Crowder

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Shad Crowder also known as catfish.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Shad was born July 15th, 1973, in boulder Colorado to Carol Ann Miller and David Alan Crowder Aug 10th, 2026. His time here was short, he leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and friendship.

From early age, Shad was known to shake things up. He would do anything to make someone laugh including making himself look foolish. He could often be found spending time with the ones he loved the most. He was a fierce and loyal friend to many. He loved to tell crazy outlandish stories or jokes just to see the looks of everyone's face at the end.

He loved good music, Chevy Camaros or Hellcats, nice clothes and looking his best. Like his brother Tommy he never judged anyone and gave everyone the benefit of the doubt. He often loved conversations about the bible at any moment just to gain knowledge He had so many questions and without a doubt whether it showed on the outside or not he was a man of God. Even with heavy hearts today we should rejoice in knowing we will see him again on the other side.

He is proceeded in death by his brother Tommy Crowder, his father David Crowder paternal grandparent, James Thomas Crowder and Ruby Crowder of Lafayette, Colorado his maternal grandparents David and Betty Miller of Waco, his beloved Aunt Donna Baty of Waco, Granny Baty of Waco, and Uncle Ray Miller.

Shad is survived by his mom and dad, Carol and David Baty of Waco his brother Chris Baty and wife Yvonne and their children CJ and Zoey. Brothers Casey and Crockett of Colorado, His wife Samantha Crowder, his best friend and love of his life of Waco. Son Matthew and daughters Kayli and Kendell who he would have given anything to have more time with.

This pain for all of us will never go away but know in my heart and in many other hearts that he is up there shaking things with his brother Tommy who he adored.
