Our History

In 1969, a group of local businessmen started Bellmead Funeral Home, to serve this area of McLennan County. After the retirement of the Hurst family, Bellmead Funeral Home was purchased by Higginbotham Funeral Homes of Texas, a locally owned company which started in 1881, headquartered in Waco.
